The ultra new gospel entertainment and celebrity radio show, This Is Gospel (TIG), which debuted on Hitz FM on August 7, 2016, and hosted by Frank Kwabena Owusu, a seasoned banker, singer, composer, artiste manager and public speaker with almost a decade of banking experience has brought life to the ghanaian gospel fraternity once again.
The Host “frank” has worked in various business departments of United Bank for Africa (UBA), Access Bank, Unibank, Fidelity Bank and First Atlantic Bank. Currently the head of key accounts department of EMWL Microfinance and doubles as the business manager for the multiple award-winning group, NO TRIBE and Nacee.
TIG now airs on Hitz FM every Sunday between the hours of 8:00pm and 10:00pm.
The first hour will offer listeners the opportunity to know the brain behind the show, a phone-in segment to interact with listeners and other salient details about the show.
The “SmarshHitz” segment outdoors very fresh and hit gospel songs also and most importantly, TIG will give details such as the artiste’s name, producer of the song, studio where the song was recorded and other important details which under normal circumstance wouldn’t be mentioned on other entertainment programmes.
The shows “Damascus Experience” segment is where Frank Kwabena Owusu will have a chat with any celebrity (both gospel and secular) from any field of the entertainment industry who is making the news and bring to the fore things that the public have never had the chance to know about that celebrity and especially break the misconception people have about these celebrities with respect to their closeness to God.
The celebrity guest will be made to select his or her top three favourite gospel songs and as the songs are aired, he or she will give reasons for the choice of songs.
TIG promises to be more exciting, intriguing, interesting and a show that will make you stay glued to ya radio sets.
The “Mereberka” segment as we say in our local “TWI” dialect literally means “i“m about to say it” is where TIG gives you lots of celebrity news and gists.
The “this is gospel” social media interaction segment allows listeners to send in their questions through WhatsApp and Facebook to be answered by the celebrity in the studio, and Frank will also expect the celebrity to answer specific questions picked up by the celebrity in an envelope to add more fun to the show.
